Bozeman Bodies of Water
Madison River originates in Gallatin National Forest, converging with the Jefferson and Gallatin rivers at Three Forks, Montana, to form the Missouri. The river is a popular spot for fishing.
The Gallatin River is one of Montana's most scenic rivers and offers the best whitewater rafting and kayaking in the Yellowstone and Teton area with Class IV rapids along the "Mad Mile" section in Gallatin Canyon. The river forms in Yellowstone National Park and flows near Big Sky and Bozeman in southern Montana before joining the Jefferson and Madison to form the Missouri River near Three Forks.
